NC CAP's quality standards are sets of concise, prioritized statements designed to drive measurable improvements within the expanded learning environment. They are derived from top-tier evidence, guidance from academia and practioners, as well as other evidence based sources. They are developed independently by NC CAP, in collaboration with professionals, state agencies and funders.
Quality standards cover a broad range of topics including program quality and professional competencies and are relevant to a variety of audiences. Audiences include parents, funders, policy makers, school districts and personnel, state agencies, national advocates, boards and program leadership and staff.
